With Horseshoe Crabs and Shorebirds Returning Please Lend a Hand
When walking the beach this year please lend our our wildlife a hand. Please flip Horseshoe Crabs. It’s easy and they are harmless. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SnK32MoXtwU&feature=youtu.be
Also please keeping a distance, when possible, from feeding shorebirds. The shorebirds have traveled thousands of miles and need to fatten up on horseshoe crabs eggs to migrate north. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kOVtf5mC_vw
This is a good video to learn more about the Horseshoe Crab and Shorebird connection. Feast on the Beach: The Delaware Bay Horseshoe Crab Shorebird Connection.
