Osprey Birth Announcement

One of our newest part time residents, the Osprey family, are pleased to announce the birth of two new baby chicks.  On May 2nd, the Osprey family moved into their newly constructioned home in the Marvel Salt Marsh.  After redecorating, getting acquainted to their surrounds and settling in, the Osprey’s decided this would be good place to raise a family.  Several weeks ago a couple of chicks were spotted peaking their heads above the walls waiting to be fed by their parents.  Since that time the chicks have grown rapidly and can be seen above the platform walls moving about.  We hope to get better pictures to post in the future.  To learn more about Ospreys here is a link to Cornell University’s All about birds.
