Prior to approving your Town of Slaughter Beach Building Permit, you may be required to obtain a number of permits and / or approvals from the Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control (DNREC): “All construction of structures, additions, septic systems, etc. require DNREC approval in the beach area. Approval is also required for outside work for such things as fences, landscaping retaining walls, patios, bringing in sand and/or fill and driveway materials. Please contact DNREC prior to any construction at the beach. – (302) 739-9921.
