2015 Coastal Cleanup Registration is Open

This years Coastal Clean Up is set for Sat. Sept. 19th from 9 to noon. More information can be found on DNREC’s Coastal Cleanup website. Last year over 150 volunteers, including many local residents, participated in September’s Coastal Clean Up. Close to 300 pounds of trash, debris, and recyclable materials were removed, preventing it from washing back out into the bay. The most unusual items found last year were chopsticks, a laundry basket, a mop, toy grenade, Badminton Birdie, and a pair of sneakers. Remember when enjoying the beach please leave nothing behind but your foot prints.
